space locks threads that are arguments and sometimes bans the people who were mostly involved in the thread
And that's because they can get too out of hand. What if somebody reports it and a moderator takes it out of context? I haven't seen the report screen in a while but I'm pretty sure it only shows the report reason and what was reported.

"I have seen too many reports recently where someone has started an argument and ended up reporting all of the respondent's messages in an attempt to get them banned" Is a good example, if people keep reporting someone's replies then it will probably clog up the report system and they'll want to stop the false reports.

Of course, I'm not space so I don't know why he does, but here is some ideas
