January 2021: Great Depression
The economy had fallen due to the legalization of outside trading... It was horrible the people even rioted on the streets but what was there to do. The families had nothing to eat. Even if someone had 100 bucks that isn't even worth scrap. 100 bucks = 10 bits.
March 2021: Poor Souls
Unexpected snow all over the Free City of Brick Hill. The streets were cold. Many live on the streets. You may call them homeless but we call them poor souls. Because they didn't deserve this at all. Spacebuilder became an unpopular figurehead. He was not stable to even be a king. We need new leaders.
July 2021: Civil War
As expected power-hungry scums would try to take the crown. Some aren't even trying to fight for the crown but to become a thing called a President or General Secretary. The most powerful force is the loyalist though. Loyalists are people that believe Spacebuilder was chosen by God and should remain king. Mythical known to be a trusted general with skill, he leads the forces of loyalists and that is where the bloodshed began...
Early August 2021: The People of War
The people suffered either way even if they were fighting or wasn't. To those who didn't fight suffered badly with men and women getting shot for being what the soldiers thought to be on the other side. It wasn't uncommon to see a dead body with bullet holes on it when you were walking out on the streets. It wasn't even a good idea to walk on the streets. One time I was inside a bar looking at the window, there were communists making a speech then loyalists with their fancy uniforms shot them in cold blood. It was horrible. I see many things but seeing someone die in front of my face was different. Never thought politics could get you killed.
Late August 2021: The First Real Battle
The "battles" that were happening were mostly shoot outs but this one was big... It was the first battle with artillery. I was at the pub when I started hearing big bangs outside. Those bangs would be later called the Battle of the Fish Shop... I heard innocents screaming and people firing at each other. There were at least thousands fighting in the battle... It would later end when I saw one of those fancy uniform soldiers running in the pub like a coward. I pulled out my gun and shot him in the head... I said, "that's what happens when you fight for a sick mad king." I walked out of the pub after that. All I can really say now is the war really had begun...
