In this thread, I'll be explaining how to not get Sharked & Scammed. This is an extremely important topic
for everyone so I highly suggest reading it all, bookmarking can come handy as well.
> Part #1: How to Avoid Getting Sharked
DEFINITION: Sharking; the sharker tricking the user to sell/trade the users item(s) for low for their own gain, and loss for the user. This is the most basic definition of "Sharking". There are tons of sharks around, so I'll be explaining how to avoid them.
1) Do the Math.
● Doing the math is one of the best ways to avoid getting sharked, what do I mean by "doing the math"? Well, I mean check the values before trading, or maybe checking the RAP or other resellers while selling your item to another user. Always check the values before doing a trade, the value might've changed so it's not worth taking a risk by not checking the values.
2) Check the Reputation.
● It's always handy to get a better understanding of the user that you are making a deal with, you can check the reputation rating of the user by viewing their Brick Hill Trade profile.

> Part #2: How to Avoid Getting Scammed
DEFINITION: A scammer tricking the victim into getting a special or currency and not giving it back at the end. This is the most basic definition for "Scamming". I'll be listing ways of avoiding getting scammed.
1) Don't Let People 'Borrow' Your specials.
● This is an extremely common scam technique, and it's easy to avoid. Just do not let people who you don't know borrow your specials, only let the people that you really know borrow. Not letting anyone borrow your items is the best, but if you really want to let someone borrow; be sure that it's someone who you know.
2) Don't Trade/Sell Your Items To Shady Accounts
● This'll probably end up bad since you might do accidental transactions/trades and not get your items back at the end. So it's always important to check if the account is an alt or not.
