guide on securing your account with an email i guess lol
verifying your account
you are able to register your account with an email, but if you happen to have forgotten to add one, or just opted out of adding one at the time then you're still able to add an email.
the first thing you're going to want to do is go to the settings tab (https://www.brick-hill.com/settings/) and locate the space where your email should be; under your hashed out password. once you get there, you're going to want to press the note pad 📝 and a dialog box should open

here, you need to put the email you'd like to verify your account with (this can change later) and your password. once you press send, you should get an email from Brick Hill that looks like this:

when you receive it, you simply click the link provided and your account should be verified
changing your email
settings > email > 📝
go to the settings tab (https://www.brick-hill.com/settings/) and find your email. press the 📝 icon next to your email, and a dialog box should open up

in the top box, put in the current email attached to your account. the second box should be for your new email. the bottom box is for your password.
after pressing save, you should get a message telling you that your email was successfully changed. your next step is to go to your email inbox and wait for Brick Hill to send you an email with further instructions (should take a few seconds or so).
when your email does eventually arrive, open it and click the link provided in the email. your email should look like this

the importance of verifying your account
your email acts as a fail-safe for when anything goes wrong with your account. if you happen to lose access to your account or it's password, you can issue a password reset which will send you a link with access to all of the accounts linked to the email. the email should look like this
https://imgur.com/a/nQsQKHs - the email you should receive after issuing a password reset.
https://imgur.com/a/vkLCnuB - the page at which you're able to change the passwords of the accounts linked to your email
also, verifying your account will get rid of that annoying banner that appears at the top of your screen asking you to verify.
if you didn't receive any email, check your spam/junk folder in case the email was automatically filtered to there. if it's still not there, check if you might have mis-typed your email address
