It should really only be emailed if something happened to your account (i.e accounts being banned or compromised)

Not really, if it's really two people with the email and no other staff members have access to said email. Then you're gonna have to wait for one of them to be online.

I hope it does get appealed but keep in mind they have lives of our own.
