Ville Libre du Nouveau Paris (Free City of New Paris in English) is a free and independent city (meaning the city is its own country) on a small island. The story of New Paris starts around the French Revolution when the Reign of Terror happened throughout France. People were getting beheaded for literally being suspicious. So a group of Frenchmen and their families decided it's best if they leave France for fear of them being beheaded. So they sailed off and on an unknown date, they landed on an island and named it Gravier Island due to the beach of the island literally being gravel and rock instead of sand.
