if your going to ask for scripting help, make sure you mention which server you are using.
"but what the heck isnt there only one??" your wrong
there are two servers used for hosting:
legacy client, aka going onsite and clicking the host button. inserting scripts involves using the actual workshop
node-hill, aka launching server.js using the command prompt. inserting scripts involves putting them in the user_scripts folder
this is important, because both servers use completely different types of scripting languages. (legacy uses Game Maker Language, node-hill uses javascript)
if you dont specify, you may get a script that was designed for a different server then the one you are using.
and one minor thing that is shared between both servers: in order to host, make sure you port forward. a guide can be found here: https://blog.brick-hill.com/how-to-portforward-and-host-games/
