The legacy client-server (node-hill) uses JavaScript as the scripting language. This is built using the events module along with added VM globals (Brick, Team, etc.) Other than that, it is purely as vanilla JavaScript as possible.

The new client language is not yet determined, but I can say that it's likely going to be between JavaScript or Lua.

I also want to add that Java is not JavaScript, do not confuse the two.
