They are unmoderated and so there is an open risk for scams or other quarrels between users, as well as general bad practices such as fake bidding on an item to up the price or bidding huge amounts without paying, thus having to void the auction.

So basically, stop doing this. If we see more of these threads pop up we'll start banning for it.
