Whenever I try to join a game I get kicked because "my client is out of date", even though I literally just updated it. Any ideas on what I can do?

anyway, you need to redownload the current client.
hop into a game.
if it does not work contact an admin.
Ask the game owner of whatever that error is happening to update their node-hill server to 9.0.0 so users like you don't get that error
