So what is linux? Linux is an Operating System (OS) So an OS unites the PC hardware with the software | Examples? Windows Mac MikeOS FreeBSD Android | You most likely use linux Linux is everywhere On the internet On phones (androids are linux) Desktops/Laptops TV or even toaster. This website might even run Linux...| By the way Linux is not just one There are many types of linux and i will help you choose one down below

WHY USE LINUX
Why use Linux? Well First of all You don't need an antivirus on linux You know why? Because there are no viruses on linux What else???? Any software on linux is free Video recorder, Editor, some games, Server hosting tools... Anything. Another reason? Linux is lightweight It can run on REALLLY old hardware. What else?? Unlike windows full of scammers Linux has a REALLY big and userfriendly community. Another???? Linux teaches you how an computer works and many stuff.

RECOMMENDED DOWNLOAD LINKS
If you have modern pc i would recommend you to go with Ubuntu or if you would like to have a customizable desktop go with Linux mint or something with XFCE interface
If you have Medium PC i would recommed you to go with Linux Mint XFCE or Cinnamon If you like fancy animations and themes but you can have them too on xfce if you just try
If you pc is Old (Windows XP) Then i would recommend you to go with Puppy linux or Lubuntu
If you have an EXTREMELY OLD PC i would 100% recommend you to go with Puppy Linux
